How to accept USDC on Shopify
Last checked 2026-10-16. Source: Shopify Help Center.
1. Check you're eligible
- Shopify Payments must be active on your store.
- Your store must be in a supported Shopify Payments region, and the account representative must live in a USDC-eligible region.
- In the US, stores based in Arkansas, New York, Pennsylvania or Texas can't accept USDC (source).
2. Turn it on
In Shopify admin go to Settings › Payments, open Shopify Payments settings and activate USDC.
3. Choose payouts
Receive USDC payments in your normal Shopify Payments payouts (dollars), or to a USDC balance. Shopify says you may earn credits on USDC orders.
4. Refunds
Review Shopify's refund rules for USDC before going live.
Alternatives
- Strike Shopify app (bitcoin via Lightning, paid in cash).
- Third-party gateways like CoinGate or NOWPayments. Shopify may charge third-party transaction fees on these (source).
